Press Release: 3 November 2003
Singapore – November 3, 2003. The Ministry of Manpower has won IE
Asia’s Intelligent20 Award for Perceptivei’s ‘Creating a
Government with Soul’ project. This is the third consecutive year
a Perceptivei solution has won the award for its customers and
partners.
The project, selected for funding by ‘The Enterprise Challenge’
will revolutionise public services and stimulate a paradigm shift
in the operations of the ministries’ call centres and e-Citizen
services. The inability to offer online citizen support and
services precludes many citizens from using e-services. The core
benefit of the project is that it enables the ministry to detect
when a citizen is having a problem on the website and
correspondingly offer selective and priority based customer
service to citizens. The solution can easily scale to other
government services (CPF board, STB) and dramatically reduce costs
for call centres while at the same time improving quality of
service.

Participating organisations are judged for the innovativeness of
the project and the synergy with the overall strategy of the
organisation. This year’s awards attracted applications from 55
countries around the region. A panel of judges from leading
consulting and research firms that included Atos Origin, Deloitte
Consulting, Frost & Sullivan, IDC, KPMG and the META Group
evaluated the applications. |
